I have been using and recommending Market Samurai now for almost a year so I thought it was time for me to sit down and write a review on the software and it’s past 12 months on the market. I will disclaimer up front that Market Samurai do not know I am writing this and in no way endorse this post, this is my personal opinion based on my experience with Market Samurai and also from over 50 people sending me their thoughts over the past 12 months.
I believe no review is complete with outlining both the good and bad features so this post has been divided into 2 sections “The Positive” and “The Negative”. I have always been more interested in hearing the negative first so I can end on a positive note so lets start there:
Market Samurai Review – The Negative
- Training Videos – The most recent market samurai training videos are incredible quality, high resolution and thoroughly presented, in fact we have personally contacted them to get some training on how to produce videos like there’s J. With that said though, the best market samurai training videos are only available through the 30 Day Challenge, and while I love Ed Dale’s concept, I don’t want to have to subscribe to his email list to get Market Samurai Training. I should only have to subscribe to market samurai to get that! While I understand that Market Samurai has been heavily endorsed through the 30 Day Challenge, they are a stand alone product and business and as such should offer support and training independently.
Step By Step Process – The library of training video’s available to show you how to use each module in market samurai is amazingly exhaustive. In fact it is one of the best resourced training video libraries I have seen for keyword research software. With that said though I know the number 1 question I receive about Market Samurai is where do I start? Market Samurai is marketed to people who are new to internet marketing and as such can be extremely overwhelming. A step by step training process would be invaluable, in fact I know of many customers of market samurai who would pay extra for this solution.- Support – Generally Market Samurai support is fantastic but lately I have been receiving a lot of complaints about their response time. In the last few weeks it has been the 30 Day Challenge and with over 70,000 people participating in that this year I am sure Market Samurai were overwhelmed with new downloads and support. With that said though support for a software application should never diminish due to the software company bringing on new customers.. In short, new customers should not affect support times for existing customers.
- Over Delivery – It’s very rare that I would list over-delivery as a negative for any company but in Market Samurai’s case I feel confident over-delivery is a problem. When it comes to customer service market samurai are amazing, while I have listed support as being a negative above, from my personal experience they are one of the best in the industry at support and their support turn around time is still one of the quickest. The problem they have is that due to their quick support, constant free upgrades and content delivery they have set an expectation with their customers. Their customers expect quick support, free upgrades and free education and as such, if they don’t get it, they complain. Now as someone who has brought and used many internet marketing software applications I can appreciate Market Samurai’s level of support but someone new to internet marketing will not.
- Pricing – I hate to bring this up, Market Samurai at any offered price is cheap but I do get frustrated at a moving price. What I mean by that is some people buy the software at $99, some people but it at $87 and some buy it at $147. Everyone who buys the software gets the exact same inclusions the only difference is whether you signed up for your free trial under a different affiliate. In fact I know of people who brought Market Samurai when it first released and now have paid more for the software than it currently retails at, and back then they received less.
Watch out tomorrow for Market Samurai Review – The Positive
